When I find these natural shaped stones they immediately inspire strong visions. I never know what I am going to see but I see it right away when I find it. I just try to open up to what nature is speaking to me. I never alter the shape of the stone in any way and I try not to impose too strongly upon something that I feel is already there. I use a minimal approach  with a fine brush and oil paints to enhance the features of the stone that inspire what I see.  I build driftwood around the stone to create a natural setting and to cradle the stone for display.
