FOREST FOR THE TREES
before words are ever spoken
all this imagery is evoking
what we want and what we need
to eat and drink and breath
finding strength to move in motion
what you feel is your devotion
to the path you choose in life
when in time you realize
I am earth, you are air
we are water, we are fire
if we all can stay connected
to these elements reflective
in our hearts and in our minds
this is just a faze in time
find new purpose and direction
in this moment of reflection
what we want and what I need
if we try then we will see
the forest for the trees
though earth it has been poisoned
we are left here to make choices
how we want the world to be
if we try then we will see
I am earth, you are air
